Knee Surgery
The lower leg consists of two bones and contains the origins of muscles used for the ankle and foot. It also contains the nerves that continue to the ankle and foot. The lower leg is involved in weight bearing movements such as running, jumping and twisting so injuries are common. Surgery is sometimes required and physiotherapy can be an effective way of rehabilitating the lower leg after surgery.
