What is a SaeboFlex?
A SaeboFlex is a dynamic hand and wrist orthosis used in improve grasping and manipulating everyday objects and maximise hand and wrist function. It is a fabricated orthosis that supports the weakened wrist and fingers in extension and has an extension spring-loaded mechanical brace to assist opening the hand and releasing objects.

You will initially be assessed for a SaeboFlex by one of our experienced physiotherapists to see if it is suitable for you.
The SaeboFlex will then be integrated into your treatment program which may involve:
- Structured exercise program using the SaeboFlex based around functional tasks
- Range of movement exercises
- Stretching exercises
The SaeboFlex allows many people with different neurological conditions to immediately begin using their hand for functional grasp and release activities and has proven results. It does however require a high level of commitment from its users in order to maximise results.
