Chest Surgery
The chest is a large structure and contains important organs such as the lungs and the heart. The ribs surround these organs to protect them and there are many surrounding muscles to assist with both breathing and movement. Damage to any of these structures can result in surgery and physiotherapy is often effective at returning the patient to as near normal function as possible.
