What is fracture treatment for children?
A fracture is a break in bone. Due the energetic nature of children’s activities such as sports and general playing and often a lack of awareness of their limits children are more likely to break a bone than many other age groups. Like all body tissues bone need time to heal.
Physiotherapy in fracture treatment is designed to help the healing process. Your physiotherapist will use a number of techniques (see below) to speed up the healing process to bring your child back to their normal ability as soon as possible.
Often other surrounding tissues and structures may be damaged. Your physiotherapist will look at these as well with an aim of returning the damaged area to its full functional ability.
